Wrestling with Belief

Jun 29, 2021

Believing new things can feel hard and uncomfortable, ESPECIALLY when you don’t have past evidence to support your new beliefs…

But that’s exactly what hoses you when you set out to do things you’ve never done before… such as lose weight or keep the weight off.

We wrestle with belief because we’re looking to past evidence to support our new beliefs, but when it’s not there, and we have evidence against our new belief, it feels extremely uncomfortable.

It’s not a problem; we’ve simply never learned how to believe new things on purpose, especially when we have evidence to the contrary.

You might be spending a lot of time bouncing between multiple, competing thoughts, which is often where we think something has gone wrong, because you’re not jumping into 100% belief right away and staying there.

But this is NORMAL.

And this is why it might feel like you’re wrestling with belief; that you’re falling in and out of it throughout the day or week.

But the truth is, you’ve simply got to manage your mind and change the way you talk to yourself starting first thing in the morning and all throughout the day.

It takes practice, and it’s going to feel uncomfortable holding space for competing thoughts, but this is how you shift into true belief - one thought at a time.

This is how you change your self concept and you change the way you show up for yourself in EVERY area of life.

This is exactly what I work on with clients. We dive deep into your current beliefs, and then create a belief plan to strengthen your self belief every day all throughout the day. This is how you create lasting change and this is how you’re able to lose your weight and keep it off for life.

You start by changing the way you think.
